I have been super busy with clay craft lately and super happy (if not exhausted). One recent request was of the Joker and Harley Quinn. (I am not an affiliate of Marvel or DC Comics the characters have just inspired me.)
Harley Quinn
Joker (AKA: Puddin')
Come back again soon to see what else I'm up to. :)
OK folks! The finally reveal! It's actually been done for about 2 weeks now but, she was so heavy I couldn't get her into the house with just me and my husband. Once we finally moved her she had quite a layer of dirt to wash off. But, here she is in all her glory and I think she is fabulous.
The room still needs a lot of work but, the stand is our starting place.
We finally decided on a mature red and Rubbed gold accents after painting it white with moss undertones (yuck!) or the Gray that ended up feeling like whitened primer. Then when we finally decided on Daredevil red which was so red it felt like any old cartoon devil costume red that it had to go! The attendant at Home Depot was very helpful in finding me a one coat higher maturity level red in the Behr Marquee paints that I just loved. I especially love that it was truly one coat! NO LIE! I will not ever change this because I never want to refinish a piece 5 times again! UGH! If you want to see more of the before and horrible beginnings click this link. Thanks for popping by. Hope to see you around when I have some more of what I'm doing now!
