Alright folks.  The papers are signed, the check is in the mail and this house is ours!  No proper posts for a while, probably...  I'm going to be moving, cleaning and more. But, I will definitely be keeping everyone in the loop.  Here are some pictures kiddos.

Thanks for coming, and of course as always I will keep you up to date on everything and stick around for how-to's on maintaining a house and DIY's on décor and home maintenance.

100th Post!

WOO-HOO!
We made it!
It has been 100 posts!  Other websites may have gotten here a lot faster than I have but I made it.  I am very happy to still be here.  I hope you all stick around to see what another 100 posts will bring, I can't wait.  Have a ton of ideas and with a whole new house to run and decorate there will be plenty to come, especially on a budget.
Hope to see you again Wednesday.

House Warming Invite

Well folks the house is almost ours so I am starting to sketch out a house warming invite idea.  I liked the idea of a house key on the front but don't have access to a bunch of keys or fake keys for that matter so, I thought... 'it will be too bulky anyway' so, lets just draw one out and then cut it out.  This is my idea for a heart house key.  It will be the cover of the invite.  What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you Sunday.  Maybe I will have some cool new furniture craft.

Well, if you weren't already aware I am buying a home for the first time.  At this point I have asked everyone I know, work with, related to and friends with about their homes, renting, and purchasing a house.  So now it's time to learn some things out myself.  When I am into something I go for it full force and research, research, research!  Buying a house has been no different but it really seems to be moving pretty fast as far as the buying process is concerned!  It will be a month and the house will be ours and it only took the sellers a week including holidays to decide.  Well, anyway, I need help so I am now enlisting the help of this book Tips and Traps for New Home Owners.  It starts out really well by making you aware of some of the musts like Home Owner insurance so it kind of picks up at the mortgage signing process not some much the house hunting process.  Anyhow this book is just $9.99 on Kindle February 2014 so I hope it helps you with your new house or maybe how to start taking care of the house you already have!
See you again next time

It's been a long time... and it's just going to get longer

I'm very sorry to anyone who has been avidly reading my posts.  I haven't been posting because I have been on holiday and my husband's birthday is just before New Years and now we're in the middle of Escrow to buy our first house!  Exciting times!  Which leaves me only time to sign another piece of paper shoved at me and absolutely no time for craft!  But, don't worry I am sure I will be back.  I will have a whole first house to decorate, furnish, and throw parties in.  So, prepare your future reading for some how-to's, some art, and crafting!  It won't be long because the house is suppose to close on February 3rd, 2014.  Exciting are the times to come.

Hope to see you soon.
I will try to not be too much of a stranger.
I'm still pinning on Pinterest (always time for that) so, follow me there.

Winter Animal Painting set

My Mother and I are currently working on a winter animal painting set.  I had originally done the Snowy Owl back in 2005 and hadn't done another since.  I had always planned to do a Snow Seal but after I sketched out the face I left it on the easel for 4 years or so and then hid it away in a box the rest of the time.  So, here it is, 2013 November and my Mother decides she is going to paint it instead of waiting for me too.  I give her a happy go ahead.  She did amazingly!
Below is my original Owl painting.
Thanks for visiting.  Hope to see you again on Sunday.
